Playa Vista Market Report: Community Feedback Reverses School Zoning Issues and Gearing up for the Busy Holiday Weekend!

As Playa Vista grows, the demand for homes and school rooms also surges. On the housing front, several sellers of properties that debuted last week received multiple offers. At least one lucky seller had over 5 offers after the first open house last Sunday. I anticipate several homes currently listed as “active” will go into escrow in the next few days.

For the developing Playa Vista Elementary School community, LAUSD school board took to heart the feedback from public meetings and reverted their decision by eliminated the 3 separate school zones for the 2017-2018 school year. Instead, all residents with children who live in 90094 will be able to attend Playa Vista Elementary School. As a way to solve the potential need for more classrooms, a bungalow containing two classrooms will be placed on campus over the summer.
